Ian Long is Head of International Programs Solutions for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions.  With a long career in Commercial Insurance across finance, operations and core insurance functions, Ian joined Swiss Re from Zurich Insurance in 2013.  Based in Zurich, Switzerland, Ian led the capability build for Swiss Re's entry into the International Program market and continues to develop the platform, people and processes to ensure the sustainable growth of the portfolio and service delivery to our customers.  Ian is also leading the initiative providing the Swiss Re international Programs Platform and Network to Carriers to support the administration and growth of their international program portfolios.

Ian holds an MA from Cambridge University, and is a Chartered Insurer and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.  He is President of the Zurich Rugby Academy and a keen sailor and skier with his wife, and teenage boys.
