This award recognises a multinational team in an insurance or reinsurance company, providing the full scope of managing multinational operations in the business. They will be able to demonstrate how through agile working, innovation and teamwork they are supporting and enabling the organisation to conduct its global operations successfully and enabling resilience and growth in their global operations.

Judges will be looking for how the team has supported the business in the last 12-18 months ahead of the entry deadline, with evidence to support how they have handled complexities in the regulatory landscape, managed new and emerging risks, implemented innovative strategies to mitigate risk, developed new business opportunities and retained current clients through effective relationships and customer experiences.

Recognition will also be given to teams that have successfully adopted new technologies and processes that have driven improved efficiencies and business benefits. The winner of this award will be delivering exemplary professional standards and working in a flexible, adaptable and efficient way to provide full business coverage on all global insurance issues.


  • This award is open to all multinational insurance teams within large insurance companies (companies that had Gross Written Premiums globally above £4,000 million in 2021)
  • Entries must demonstrate evidence from the last 12-18 months, up to the awards entry deadline.
  • We welcome entries from teams operating in the UK and Europe.


  • Any relevant contextual information to help understand the business or external environment within which the team has been operating. Information about the team: its size, structure, complexities and scope of responsibilities.
  • An understanding of any specific challenges the team and business has been facing in the last 12-18 months.
  • Please describe the ambition and goal for the team over the last year and any drivers for improvement or change.


  • Examples of outstanding skill, best practice, activity, and process
  • How the team have been an exemplary case study for other global insurance professionals, other teams in the global insurance sector, and for the wider multinational community
  • Excellence in their work, approach and delivery on responsibilities
  • How did the team support the business needs over the last year, how has it been flexible to adapt and innovate to deliver excellence? 


  • Examples of how the team has shown creativity and agility to meet challenges and exceed goals 
  • Relevant detail about how they have used fresh and successful new models and strategies to operate successfully in challenging markets and in response to changing environments
  • Details on how they have responded with innovation to major events Illustrate any innovation using the latest technology, processes, and communication channels.
